  1. willing to sell in seperate artic loads as single sales. buyer to arrange haulier. might be of interest for empty return journey or locally could do multiple loads in a day

  4. i regularly hire out my wallenstein with two men for £540 a day thats £180x2 for the labour and £180 for the machine.For that providing the woods already diced they can get 26cube split. if they were to buy that amount of wood delivered from me it would cost between £2-3grand everyones happy. £60 aday !!! dont you mean an hour?
  5. Every year demand outstrips supply. I have a couple hundred tonne of seasoned softwood left. But down to my last 40tonne seasoned hardwood. Need to purchase hardwood in nets preferably palleted and delivered to cornwall to supplement my mixed loadsl.   6. yes I appreciate that jon. Didn't mean it to read I was having a dig at you.Sorry if that's the way it came across mate. Was just hoping one of the hauliers would get wind and reply to help us out.Anyone!!! Whoever said a few months ago about us merchants getting together and buying a rig doesn't seem such a crazy idea now. If only I was 20year younger I would seriously consider.Speak over the weekend.   7. hi jon any idea when I will be getting my wood this 300+ tonne promised from early may still haven't received a single log mate!I know you keep in contact every week or so but my yard which is costing me rent money sits empty.And I need that and more cash waiting. Seems no one wants to haul into cornwall
  8. there is a very large company here in mid cornwall that sells all its firewood in net sacks 48 x 60s. it advertises on its website that a cubic metre is 20 sacks! this sells for £85. we sell ours as loose and have bagged up a loose cubic metre though in same sacks and we get 33 sacks. we also sell for£85 obvouisly we dont have the additional handling or have to buy the sacks though.wondering if it would be more viable to sell in bags taking account of this bearing in mind the saving in cord needed approx a third less
  9. how about our mate Jason from cfw or cornwall firewood or duchy or is it dutchy lol!. he might be a bit busy though. As the latest is hes bought out euroforest cant get any cord in cornwall unless its through him. Busy man
