  1. Hello

Anglia Towing equipment should be able to supply a replacement tow head for you. if they have any problems identifying the part, you could call Timberwolf's tech desk or spares line and quote the serial number of your machine they should be able to find out what tow head was fitted to your machine from factory.

  2. Hi KGmyrek

Sorry to hear of your chipper problem, The Kubota engine fitted to your chipper has a fuel shut off solenoid fitted at the rear of the diesel injector pump which controls the supply of fuel to the engine. This solenoid has 2 coils fitted within it.

Coil 1 (pull) electrical supply comes via the crank position of the ignition switch which allows the engine to fire up. Coil 2 (hold) electrical supply comes via the EPS1000 from terminal 17 this takes over from Coil 1 once the ignition switch is returned to the ignition on position.

You may have a problem with the EPS1000 which could require changing or it may be asociated with the water temperature or oil pressure circuits.

Your local Timberwolf dealer should be able to help you test this, or advise if the problem is elsewhere. you can find your nearest Timberwolf dealer by looking at the website Timberwolf UK | Introduction

    Hope this helps

  3. Hi Hazelnut

On the rear of your fuel injector pump there is a fuel shut off solenoid fitted, this holds the fuel supply open electrically, allowing the engine to be stopped by turning the ignition key off.

The solenoid is fitted with 2 coils within it, the pull coil voltage is supplied from the crank side of the ignition switch during starting, whereas the hold coil voltage is supplied through a relay which monitors oil pressure and water temperature, so if you have an engine problem it will shut down the engine for its own protection.

Timberwolf has a dedicated technical support helpline that may be able to help diagnose the problem, give them a call they can be contacted on 01449-765820

  4. Hi Hedgecutter

If the forward feed rollers will only work with the forward button held you probably have either a faullty forward relay, switch/s or maybe a wiring issue.

Give Timberwolf's technical support a call, they will be able to give more in depth support on this for you, dont forget to have your machine model and serial number ready.

Timberwolf Technical support can be reached on 01449 765820 :thumbup1:

  5. Hi Apbell

You are correct that the daignosis for your problem may be loss of spring tension over the years and changing them should improve the situation.

Also the slide plates holding the drive roller must be kept well greased to ensure free movement up and down.

    Hope this helps:crazy:

  6. Hi Cimh

The aluminium/grey box you have found is indeed the original No Stress unit and the green lamp should be illuminated when the ignition is switched on, it indicates power is getting to the unit.

This means either you have a power in issue or the switch itself has failed.

RPM for your machine at full speed should be 3400, running at 3300 will not let the rollers work, but as you have no green lamp illuminated the problem is probably elsewhere.

Your best route for advise will be to call Timberwolf's Technical help desk on 01449 765820, they should be able to assist you.:thumbup1:

  7. Hi

At the back of all Timberwolf manuals is a belt tensioning guide for most models

For your TW150DHB for instance new belts being fitted will need to be tightened sufficientlty to see a 4mm movement (deflection) when a force of 3.7-4 kgs is applied, this reading needs to be taken from mid point between the pulleys at the longest span of belt, and can only be acheived accurately with the correct guage.

Without using a guage it will be less exact but if the delection is set to 4mm with a moderate force from your finger this will probably suffice, dont forget belts will stretch and this will need to be checked/adjusted after a few hours running.

If you are still unsure please give Timberwolfs Technical helpline a call on 01449 765820 they will talk you through the procedure:thumbup1:

  8. If there is no drain plug fitted, the tank will have to be removed from its location and inverted to remove any debris within, alternatively you could upgrade your tank to the current specification plastic type with a drain plug.

If you would like instructions on how to retro fit this please call the Technical Helpline on 01449 765820 they will be happy to discuss the options with you.

  9. Hi Lyn Ed

Rest assured, your TW150 has a temperature switch fitted to the thermostat housing on your Kubota engine, if the engine temperature gets too hot it will indeed shut the engine down.

The oil system works in a similar way, if the oil pressure is low this also will shut the engine down.

    Hope this helps

  10. Hi Scott

The symptoms you describe are very odd.

Your feed rollers have a single speed which is governed by the flow rate from the hydraulic pump. I can only think there may have been a temporary obstruction within the hydraulic system, causing a flow rate reduction.

It is possible the hydraulic spool valve was not fully open or maybe the hydraulic pump belt was slipping?:confused1:

If this re occurs give Timberwolf's technical helpline a call on 01449 765820

  11. Hi Mark

The starter motor should turn when the ignition switch is moved to the crank position. (providing you do not have a stop switch activated)

As this is not happening I would suggest either the battery is faulty and not holding the charge you gave it or you may be a loose electrical terminal, or even the starter motor needs assistance due to its long laid up interval

Give Timberwolfs technical help line a call on 01449 765820 they will be able to give more in depth checks to carry out on your chipper

    Hope this helps

  13. Hi Nottstrees

I would not expect play to be present at either end of the rotor shaft. If these rotor bearings have been replaced recently as you said, I would suggest you take it back to the dealer to check over:001_cool:
