  1. I've let five lads go in the last six months and have kept my best three lads and have one student on work placement and have two out of three trucks and chippers parked up and using them on rotation to make sure that there not going to costs too much to put back on the road, to top if off today my Carlton grinder has just blown its engine today. But looking back on my sales last year the boys are working really well and are turning over a little bit less than last year but cost are down by thousands and profit are up as a percentage
  2. Take a look at this its give you a break down on foundation depth in relation to distance from a tree and different species. http://www.stockton.gov.uk/resources/environment/BldgControl/FoundsTrees/FoundsTrees.pdf
  3. Try Bandu at 70ml per 100litres of water its a broad based pyrethroid insecticide which will give good control to aphids. Its a very strong insecticide so don't add any more than this rate. Do a follow up spray 14-21 days after the first application. The good benefits are that its rain fast within an hour the only problem is its quiet expensive. Hope that helps :-)

    Crazy!

    Now that is simple brilliance
  5. I use to drive a U900 with a front mounted PTO chipper; it’s a right pain. You may have to look in to up-rating the coils suspension. As the rear suspension is heavy duty you may be able to get away with replacing the shock Absorber's to heavy duty off road ones if the chipper is light enough. Or you'll fine yourself bouncing down the road using the chipper as a plough :-) when its empty and not towing anything!
