  2. Hardwood did you get the basic radio unit or the one that does the tractor as well? Nice job pulling the oak out of the pond.
  3. Great post B101, good to find all this out before i buy the kit. The manufactures spec recommends the power of the tractor to be 70< hp to hang it on. The total weight of the winch is 562kg without the wire
  4. Difflock that's a good shout about line speed on the EH models ihad not noticed that. Have you got the radio control unit ? Brushcutter why would you choose the extra wide butt plate out of intrest? Cheers Lads

  6. Brushcutter what does your valtra come in at HP wise & does the 6.5 fransguard make the tractor stutter? The uniorest does seem really good value just easier to spend less on the 8 ton mechanical version at the moment but thinking i will end up regretting not getting the EH model in long run. How good was the deal they offered you?

  9. 70- 90 cube mostly up a steep hill pretty sure it will do it but just not keen to splash the cash and then get stuck by the way will hang it on the back of 100 hp
  10. the wander lead to begin with i think. does 8 ton convert to a straight pull on level ground just dont want to run out of grunt as its all big oak pulling up hill. thanks for the replies

  18. morso owl 7kw great stoves runs 24/7 burnt 2 cubic meters of dry ash so far.

Thanks for thoughts as far as make is concerned any to avoid and the best to have also having not used a pto winch does 5 tonnes mean rolling or skidding just not to keen to splash the cash and not have enough grunt to get the logs up the slope thought about a boughton but keen on getting the butt up off the deck once winched in.
