I've currently got a sequoia swing with the rigid seat. Do any of you know whether it is possible to buy the leg loops separately to convert it to just leg loops?

I had a situation where I was being spoken to as though I was something on the bottom of your shoe. (This was at the initial quote stage by the way). I tried to keep calm but eventually I couldn't keep it together any more so told him outright not to speak to me like that and as he had asked me for my pro opinion, the least he could do was the courtesy of listening to what I had to say.
There was a long silence with tumbleweed blowing through until it was broken by his wife apologising to me for his behaviour. Two other members of the group later individually apologised to me for his behaviour.
I thought I'd blown it but we ended up getting the contract which was a 6 dayer.
I think the others actually enjoyed seeing the bloke getting a dressing down and made to look like a pompous ass.

I've just had some Gouda infused with cumin seeds that a friend bought over from Holland (its a Christmas speciality apparently), very tasty I must say!

I'm 46 and climb everyday. The trick is to think about the job first, plan your route and work as ergonomically as possible.

With a ram that size I bet you could setter down and springer up in no time

Dismantled a birch first thing then opted not to do the second as the wind was blowing a hooly (self preservation kicked in). Meant to be in Gorleston tomorrow but even though the customers have sand bagged and moved everything upstairs, they have been evacuated by the authorities. What a hideous prospect in store for them.

I know its been said before, but...cinch/choke your climbing line back on itself as you are going up/down. That way if you do gaff out the max you'll slip is less than a foot as opposed to face surfing your way down the tree.
Trust yourself and the kit and you'll be fine!

I'd never used them before but I phoned to order some bits and Barry was spot on. Top guy with efficient service. Thumbs up from me.

Well chuffed for you mate, excellent news indeed!

Very complex issue there Tom and I feel for you. I've been involved in this type of situation and appreciate how difficult and confusing it can be. Good effort from the responders. I hope things improve for all involved.

Late I know but payment made. Steve many thanks for your efforts with this.

I climbed in a dragonfly for donkeys years but last year changed over to a swing. As arborgrunt has said, they can be tricky in very tight confines and you certainly know you've got a sheet of plastic/metal strapped to your bum when walking about on the ground. That said, I've found it super comfy and a really robust bit of kit.

I've used my own silky to cut myself out of a nasty situation. I also have a petzl sparta on my harness just in case my silky fell out of the sheath and I needed it if things got dodgy.
Belt and braces I guess

I might get laughed at but I've had a tw125 for 7 years and found it has served me really well. Yeh its a baby compared to some but easy to manually move around and as yet has never let me down. Might not be what you are after but I'd recommend it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think the forum is a fantastic resource! I've learnt lots and hopefully helped others out with the bits I've posted.
If I have one criticism, it would be that as Tractorboy has said, the use of homophobic slurs seem to go unchallenged. I have previously challenged a poster about his homophobic comments only to be told to wind my neck in by a different poster....
I realise that language usage changes with time and it isn't always the case that people are meaning to come across as openly homophobic but it doesn't half get my back up.
I have huge admiration for Steve and all the other mods so many thanks guys for all your efforts!

Respect to you for this. I admire your actions.
-
This could be a fantastic resource which I'd definitely like to play with.
All the best for the project!

Intriguing story, thanks for posting.

Rover, all the very best to Hannah and all the team. Respect!
Donation made.

I don't want to state the obvious, but, see if you can get the money together to get a pair of decent (i.e. goretex/sympatex) over trousers. You'll build up a bit of damp but at least you won't get drenched.
Chin up
PS 2nd pair a must

Again it looks more like Merip from the far away photo. I second the view that if no targets reduce as opposed to fell.
-
Flippin heck, you've got a winch that weighs 8 ton???
-
Yep we do, although we inherited them with the truck, we would have fitted them anyway. NRSWA requires double lights on vehicles....

Thanks so much for posting this!
Brought a sad smile to my face but really nice to see the happy pics of him and lovely to know there is a lasting memorial to him.
