  3. hi 24hr cutter. could you tell me about the hefty running costs that your facing with the zago eco green composter. as i'd be most interested to hear about them. i havent yet had a demo from them as they are waiting for a used machine to come in. have you had any experience with the seko machines?if so how do they compare?

  4. try votex, based in hereford they import vandaele chippers from belgium, who produce one called a tv14-22 that can be specified on high speed chassis, tracks or on 4 turf tyres. i've hired one on a chassiss a number of times- nice tool.
  5. i've just booked up a load of courses with warwickshire college (pershore campus). They are doing up to 80% off most of the cs certs and alot of lantra certs. Also discounts on pa1 and pa6. You have to work in herefordshire, shropshire, worcestershire, staffordshire or warwickshire though and spend atleast 50% of your time working in forestry or arb. funding is until July. scheme is called wooodworks west midlands. The lady you need to speak to is Jean Baldwin on 01386 551224 or email [email protected] Warwickshire College
  6. i'm off to a machinery auction this friday with the intention of purchasing a 3 point linkage mounted winch to fit on my John Deere 2140 4wd (85hp). At the auction are 3 ex-environment agency fransguard winches, 2xv6500's and one v9000 (which i think would be too big for my tractor). There are also a number of boughton winches and a cooks winch (previous owner unknown), but there are no photos of these and are most probably chassis mounted. The winch wont be used too much as tree surgery is only part of my business. I would be grateful if any one could suggest to me what a fransguard winch is worth, and what do i need to be aware of when buying a winch, considering it is an auction so i wont be able to try it out before i buy. Below is a link to a photo of one of the fransguard winches cheers
  7. hi demo is probably middle to end of next month, waiting for a 15m3 machine with a loading crane that is due to come in next month.i would be interested to learn more about them. high running costs is this due to the ware rate of the 'stars' on the augers?
  8. i have provisionally booked a demo of used 15m3 machine with a loading crane next month. does anyone have any experience of these? i've read they are far superior to the seko machines, is this the case?how do you charge the customer, day rate, volume, hourly, per job etc and what is the going rate? Are there any issuesa to be aware of buying used ecogreen etc etc. any advice, suggestions welcome. cheers dave.

  10. hi timber cutter. i've just added my 6 peneth worth to thread titled 'tipper trailer'. i'd suggest atlas trailers i've got one and am dead chuffed with it
  11. hi. just come across this website. bit late for you 18 stoner but maybe useful for someone else. i purchased an atlas trailer in september 2007 and i cant speak highly enough of it.they aren't chinese but are in fact british made in havant, hampshire. i was the first person to write a testimonial on the atlas trailer website and after 18 months or so i still stand by my statement that it is the best piece of kit i've ever purchased! i run a landscaping business and have used it to move diggers, aggregate, soil etc,etc and it has preformed brilliantly i would happliy buy more of them when need to. i purchased it directly from atlas trailers from their stand at iog saltex show at windsor race couse. this meant i could compare it with all the other makes. on build quality, price and every other angle it beat them all hands down. also if you have any questions after you've purchased the trailer you have the owners mobile no. to call , you wouldnt get that with ifor!! hope i've helped someone.
