  2. I also thought beech would be too hard but he's got his heart set on it!! Axe throwing is something that he is trying to get into so I'm sure he's only going off what some one has told him . So you use poplar Steve? Much easie to lift than beech at 36". What thickness do you use to avoid splitting?
  3. He's after about 8 pieces at 22 -24".
  4. I have a colleague who is looking for some large diameter beech rings for axe throwing targets. He is located in Devon but is happy to travel to collect. Anyone got any?
  5. Well that's funny you should say that coz I did think that I could buil in a fashion so it starts in the garage and then comes out through the side dot and a funky jump onto the side of the house. But keep that one under your hat!😶
  6. Being a fan of rock climbing as well as tree climbing my wife has agreed to let me build an indoor bouldering wall in my garage . As well as you usual climbing holds I shall be mounting some gnarly old rot pocket style holds on there which I will be picking up from time to time from certain jobs. Any body else made one before and could offer any advice/ tips.
  7. I'm looking for work in the bideford Barnstaple area I have been climbing for 8 years and working with trees for 15 I have relevant qualifications and own kit. I will happily groundy if no climbing is available. Cheers
  8. It's been running fine . The pull cord snapped and after repairing that it fired up once hit maximum revs then stalled. It's hard to get it started but when its running , it ticks over if you gently add throttle it starts to dip then stalls. It's a shame really I've had it 6 years from new and had no problems up until now
  9. My ms 460 has started acting up. It's ticking over nicely but hit the throttle and it dies. I've had the carb off and cleaned it along with checking file filter and fuel pipe . Any body had the same problem?
  10. Getting a call from a customer at 10pm the night before a job to ask if ive seen the weather report as its going to be raining in the morning.
  11. Hey Danny i find these are quite good kit bags dont cost much either but cant quite remember where to get em! they are waterproof too!!
  12. I hope you found it before your saw did!
