Thanx for your replys andy and flaming ace, im still stuck what chain so ive counted the drive links there is 72 shall i buy a chain with 72 drive links? Ive been on ebay and there is alot of chains saying there stihl, are they proper stihl i read somewhere Oregan is a proper stihl chain is this correct?

I have a old 041 AV with a 20" bar i haven`t the manual and no look finding a manual on the net Can anyone tell me what chain size i need to get, to fit it or are all stihl the same pitch ect.. sorry if it a obvious question as it my first stihl. Thanx in advance and hello general chat area!

hi wood picker ive just been in the garden with it runs really nice now i did that adjustment, thanx again! i used it to cut up a 10" birch stump it dont stop when cutting like my roybi one does it got alot torque im in love with it already! what a saw!

Ive got a old 1978 i think stihl 041 AV electronic says on top cap, Ive got it running with cleaning the fuel filter and pipes, got it at a car boot. When takeing it apart i found a orange cap with arrows on it about size of a 10p i havent a clue what this is it clutch oil filler? its below the filter /Carburetor houseing mid way in the machine anyone know what this is? On the side of the air intake Carburetor their are 2 screws with springs underneath the heads not sure what these are for either. when i start it it ticks over with the choke pulled back open but when i close it it cuts out. adjustment of the screws to stap this? Had a look online for manuals havent found any i thought some you guys must used one or own one or seen one in a Museum some where, I love it already with one pull and running! Hope someone can help as i dont want break it!

After cutting up wood for a few months im starting to walk round a 1/2 a foot higher on a bed sawdust .What do you guys do with your sawdust ? can it be burnt made into logs? or is it doomed to the compost...

Bad points like alot of 5 kw to 7 kw fires the fire box can be to small i cut my wood 7" inch long and 5" roll that way can get 2 halfs in and be ok for 3/4 of a hour over a evening you can get 5 loads in ( up and down 5 times when the wife reminds you . If you bank it up with coal it will stay in for the night wood it wont .
