My mate caught three lads down his yard snooping around in a transit van, he is a big old boy who can lose his cool quickly! He grabbed one of them through the window ! The driver sped off and crashed the van in to a small brick bridge whilst he was still hanging onto the passenger like a bull terrier. Driver and 1 passenger made tracks across a field , the other one had an empty can of coke ripped in half and put in his face as a warning ! My mate also made himself absent from the seen, an hour later a lot of vans turn up along with plod saying some bloke was trying to kill them! Know one really snoops around that yard anymore!! Hi all On Monday I noticed oil in my water ,antifreeze tank . So this morning the van went into the garage thinking head gasket had gone,found out it's not the head gasket but the oil cooler. Couple of hours later I get a call from the garage saying its my oil cooler .ok. Result I think!!! Then I'm told the oil cooler will cost £450.......... Errr really ???they have gone ahead with the work. I have been looking all day to try and find an oil cooler worth 400 and I can't ? I can't find one for over 150 they start at about 63 and go to about 129. How can they justify that???? They are a reputable company in Northampton which I have used for the last couple of years and have had no issues. Don't forget labour will be on top of that all in all it's costing me 680 to flush everything and fit it. Any mechanics on here think they are taking the biscuit?? Any advice would really help.
