  1. Yes, it was genuine, I finally managed to get hold of him on the phone. He said he had someone interested and was probably going to end the auction early. He wanted £2700 for it, which is probably about right. John
  2. Ifor Williams Car Trailer Tiltbed 3.5 Tonne on eBay (end time 23-Aug-09 20:00:00 BST) Seems a bit too good to be true. Why would anyone put a high value item on a 3 day listing? Why take it to a hillside to take photos? I have asked if he has the original receipt and serial no. but he has not replied yet. It's too far away from me to go and view. What do you think? The Land Rover he is also selling looks OK John

  4. Silent film, the quality does get a bit better after the first few scenes. John [ame] [/ame] [ame] [/ame]
  5. I drive along the level motorway at 55mph and get the jolting most of the time, it is worse when the road is slightly bumpy. The new damper I fitted had about the same resistance as the one it replaced, I could push it in by hand but it took some effort and went in slowly. I assume a u/s damper would have little resistance.Maybe the old damper was not the right one to start with? I think I will check with Bradley. Unfortunatley I think Dean is on the right track and that the problem stems from the two axles being too far apart on a relatively short trailer. There is a gap of 6 inches between the wheels, on my Brenderup which is much longer the gap is only 4 inches. Thanks for your help. John
  6. I am pretty sure it is not the brakes, I have had them checked by a mechanic and the jolting occurs all the time not just when the brakes come into action. I think the hitch height may be the problem although a friend towed it with his Discovery with a higher hitch and he had the same problem. john
  7. My first post here but I have been reading the Firewood and Woodland forums for some time. We own 2 plots of woodland in South Wales. I live in the South East and always bring a load of timber or logs back with me when I return from the woods. I have a 9ft by 5 ft tipping trailer that I pull behind my L200 pick up. When I bought the trailer I was told it needed a new damper in the Bradley Autolock hitch, this I duly fitted however the trailer is still a pain to tow causing continual jolting when even half loaded. :mad1:The trailer is made by a firm called Highline, it is twin axle. I have a Brenderup car transporter that tows with no problems. Any suggestions what could be the problem with the Highline? :confused1: Thanks in advance. John
