  15. we are great thancks hope you and your family are well and your lad setteled in at uni, that must be fun digging out that old pond after 100 years ii bet you comne across some interesting things that have fallen in it over the years.Been scratching my head lots trying to work out how to fit a new grease nipple to my u j on drive shaft in a very hard place to get to on tractor it beat me ,so i rang up lamberhurst who we deal with and they said after hours of trying and lots of swearing they once managed to replace one the other way is to split tractor in two and very expencive so told me to wait until it wears out and do it then or when something else majoir needs doing when the tractor need to be in two.

  16. Hi david the mycology report you are doing sounds realy interesting is it for the management plan?iam on the look out for a stihll 66 or 88 to do some milling .my boss seemed interested in me doing planking but my manager said it is just a hobbie and dont want to get in to it when i asked about getting a second hand saw so iam going about it myself with some money i saved from overtime this summer so hope i will find a second hand saw,

  17. Hi david how are you, what things have you been doing on the estate getting near the shoot season?,i had my log fire opened as was bricked up 20 years ago i asked a few years back and hadnt had any joy but this year they agreed i am well happy its nice burning your own logs.Iam back on my own in the woods for a while as my work mate shattered his big toe over the weekend when moving a gas bottle at his home, hoping to get stuck in to a area of birch to thin and clearing some windblow from the great storm that i have been looking forward to doing:001_smile:

  18. thancks for the offer of the pram but with my wife been nanny and me been the youngest in a family we have plenty of second hand kids stuff been offered to us your very right it is not worth been to proud ,got a another lorry load of wood out yesterday been saving up my overtime from it over this summer to help pay for things, might go on hunt for some mushrooms that we find fun today, been finding beefsteaks fungi and the od chicken of the woods hoping for puff ball this summer but think it been to dry down here, i give what i dont eat them to a game dealer that lives next door to me ushally swap for venison burgers or sauages or steak ,i have some half runner ducks and they are good for eggs so swap them for vedg as i dont have time to grow much you have a good week mate::thumbup1:

  19. Thank you for your message hope your well ,your right it has ben stressfull times but all looking bright and arb talk been a great place to take my mind of things hope you have fun with the new truck bet you cant wait, how are you getting on with your little loader with grab seen you made good use with that conifer job you posted have you been in the woods with it yet,i have been busy thinning and coppicing a wood near a river ,had my once a year walk about with the owner of the estate this week to make a list of new jobs, will be doing some tree surgery jobs and when finished thinning .

  20. i steve thancks for the link for the 3d scan we will look in to that would be realy cool

  21. with woods you will be working are you doing it for the wood as payment you cut or do the land owners pay you to be there and give you the wood as payment if you dont mind me asking i find on my estate most of the thinning jobs that we do are at cost to the estate grants cover some of it but not much when we get the chance to do big stuff or over stood coppice we can cut and extract a amout to make it pay,the main aim is conservation here and to maintain the capital value of the woods ,

  22. :001_cool:thancks for Bill Moore 's number for the snatch block , he was very helpfull
