  1. 4 strokes are all about grunt  Theres a GL1000 goldwing in the garage, it went to the TT races every year...until i was born, been stood still ever since  Not all bad news though, i got a Z50R as a 1st birthday present, thats why i love 4 strokes, the fact theres also an XR650R is purely coincidental.

  2. Happy new year everyone when it comes  Just feels like any other day / evening to me though, won't be going out, maybe im turning into a boring old recluse. Either way it'll be business as usual here, magners, cointreau, pepsi max, crisps, pizza, nibbles, TV and Internet, all within reaching distance from my chair.

  3. One of the main reasons why i bought one, not for lamping, i don't need any guns, dogs or ferrets to catch my supper. The only thing you hear is something move in the grass then a few seconds later a squeal as they get caught up. Then its a silent death, unless it's a young un, i let them go, pointless killing them. :001_cool:

  4. Ive got a 260 with a 15" bar and a 361 with a 16" bar. If im honest i'll take the 260 every time. Saying that 361 was brand new at the time, it ran like a bag of spanners for 6 months, and yes I've had it tuned and whatnot. Recently i left the 260 at home to give the 361 some use, it's loosened up a bit, fine running, it misfires bad when you start it up from cold, if you give it some it'll just cut out, after a couple of mins it's ready to use. The 260 though, 2 pulls and im away

That white thing in the corner of the pic is the edge of the christmas lights that run around my monitor!

  6. Im gonna have to up the ante, wheres my "nice baubles" g string  Gonna have to careful though, i know the neighbours will call the rozzers, i can imagine the phone call, theres a young man in a g string wielding a chainsaw and what looks like a samurai sword. I think dressing up as santa will be a safer bet. :thumbup1:

  7. If you have access to a shop to try boots then do that, going for cheapest option isn't always the best. Aquafell Xperts are meant to be the mutts nuts but after 2 pairs ive given up on them, split in a few places, got some Tremme Aqua Stops given to me, not really worn them, more of a back up boot, current pair is Haix Mountain Ridge, didn't hold my breath over these but if im honest they've been excellent, lasting alot longer than the Aquafell Xperts. Im sure alot of people will give there opinions on here.

  8. Wind your neck in pal.

I let a 101 slip past me, would of made a lovely work horse, not just for tree work though, could of gone shooting, ferreting etc a kinda jack of all trades and unique. It's just that in this day and age you'd expect stuff not to break as easy. As for the diff going, towing a 150 with half a load of chip isn't abuse, we drive a fair distance to work sites, the last thing we need is for something to break.

Ive taken alot of flak about my japanese skip, it's slow, it's crappy, it's old. It gets up peoples noses though because it works and in some cases outshines its newer counterparts. I wouldn't own a new land rover, id certainly own an older one
