  1. Will do, now you mention it that's where I got my last one. Thanks
  2. Can anyone advise me as to which online shop (uk) is selling Treemotion harness (non lightweight) at a competitive rate? I could just look myself but as there's so many online shops to check I thought one of you guys might be able to save me a few hours and £s. Thanks
  3. Dead and hollow! Love this shitaki first thing on a Monday morning
  4. I'm sub contracting on a working holiday visa. Just need an ABN, takes a week or so to come once you get here. Customs were a nightmare though. If I was doing it again I wouldn't mention the 'tree' on the parcel description.
  5. Thanks for the tips, but I'm not working in the rain (I'm in oz not Halifax, this year anyway). Keep my rope clean, always in a rope bag. Always slow descents, use figure of 8 when possible and use two fingers on the rope to take some friction (don't bother with the wooden thing, it came off years ago) I do however always use a rope saver even on take downs and think that takes it's toll on the cams. Anyway I'm not too fused about having to replace them, I think it's a fantastic piece of kit and if it costs me 50p a day to have it working at it's best then so be it. Thanks anyway guys
  6. Blake's hitch haha, the dark ages passed a long time ago.
  7. They don't make em how they used to ey I'll buy it off you! How much?
  8. Jeanesy as in Dan Jeans? I reckon they should bring out a titanium one
  9. When it stops locking and starts slipping, it goes in the bin. 16 months how often are you climbing on it? Do you use a rope saver?
  10. Just curious to know how long your lockjack clutch/cams last? I seem to be burning them out pretty quick. A 12/13mm cam (on a Yale xtc fire rope with rope saver) lasts around 4/5 weeks. I keep my rope as clean as possible and I don't hammer it when descending. Can I get better results on a different rope? Cheers
  11. It's smart arses like you, who ruin arbtalk
  12. Keep hydrated. I once read; 10% dehydration is 10% loss of concentration
  13. Thanks very much chaps. All went very smoothly. Good advice and the video made it a lot less daunting. Thanks again.
