  1. Link to HETAS guide on soild fuels including logs http://www.hetas.co.uk/pdfs/04_Hetas%20Guide%2014_Part_2_Fuels_310407.pdf which is very similar to your buyers guide both of which offer good advise
  2. both are now sold, having only been advertised for 2 days!
  3. Do you know if the palax is chainsaw or circular saw model?
  4. I'm currently looking into horizontal log splitters capable of splitting cordwood up to 2m long max diameter 40cm. Caledonian forestry are agents for Rabaud who have a range of log splitters which look quite good. There is a PTO driven post and log spltter on the Rabaud web site which looks like it can extend to 3m. Would be interested in opinions on this or other options, would post link to web site which has vids but limited ability on PC
  5. Thanks for posting vid, have used tracked dumper as fuel bowser on deep peat sites before. Would like to see one fitted up with crane and timber bolsters
  6. I am a new member of this forum, I'm interested in small scale extraction equipment and it seems to be a regular discussion point, have you considered putting something like what you describe above together. It sounds like a very capable set up and I'm sure you would attract plenty of interest if you set up a demo and/or posted video's of it working
  7. Interested in cost, have been quoted £11.5K! for Riko fast tow road legal trailer with 4.2m reach crane 340Kg capacity at full reach
