  1. Thats my point - thats not a lot of chip. So, if youre doing small trees its ok. Get into the bigger stuff or even a lot of conifer and youre tipping every hr. Sorry, but I dont get it. Obviously Im wrong because 80% of tree bods use them.
  2. Sorry, but Ive never understood using 3.5T trucks for tree work unless your doing small stuff, but even then, put the cord & rings in etc its surely way overloaded on all but the smallest stuff. Trees Which Id simply put in a trailer, chop it up, burn it or tip at a recycling place.
  3. We load a predator 28 onto an ifor tt105 no problem with the ramps. Towings fine, we use defender 90s. Hope this helps.
  4. It must just be me but ive never understood how you can do tree work with a transit set up. We'd over load that in half hour. Sorry to sound negative chap. Im probably wrong and youve got a fleet of mogs etc for the bigger stuff.
  5. Quality! You trolling fella?
  6. Howdo all - just wondering if there are any self employed climbers that work around Andover Hampshire ? Please dont take this the wrong way but the work would be on quite large trees >70ft including dismantles/crown work so we'd be looking for bods that can work at a good speed on big trees safely. It would be work I dont have time to do myself but you wont be asked to climb and dismantle some snotty ivy covered 70ft Poplar for £100-£150/day. It will be a day rate relevant to the tree. Some are woppy-woppy (as big as you dare), some need lowering but anything we ask you to do will be big trees but the money will reflect this. PM if interested for a chat.
  7. Dont mention the 201 - just sent mine back - seems underpowered - mine bogs down on stuff if shouldnt do it doesnt cut quick enough for bigger stuff. Did a comparison with a 2 yr old 200T the other day and it was a lot slower. Think Ive got a duffa or done something wrong tbh. And....whats with the slow take up when you start the throttle ? Ive had is tuned twice but today I nearly threw it out of the tree. Suggestions welcome cos cant believe Stihl have dropped one on this.
