Ok Brain fade yesterday - pickup postcode would be DG8 8DS - I have made an equiry to JST. Kind of busy with other stuff at the moment so if you could see what you can do on collection that would be good. Artic would be 26t - do you have a max size since many of our logs would be well over 10" dbh?.

Could you pm me inresponse since I have having some difficulties in accessing this conversation - for some reason I need to search your homepage out before I can view your messages

Cheers

  2.

Should also mention that if we are short on larch - and if we are it will not be by much - we have plenty of spruce at that size.

Also should mention that pricing does not include VAT which would be chargeable

  3.
I would figure on about £10 / tonne at a guesstimate - If you give JST a call they are down in this area every day and are quite near you as well - alternatively give me a postcode and we will get a price - 100 5mtr logs will be two artics at least I would think

  4.

Sorry I misread your message to begin with and interpreted 10" dbh as 10" tdub - I am pretty sure we could supply 100 x 5m lengths - roadside £45 per tonne and fine and handy for a weighbridge - how straight do they have to be?

Cheers

I think we could just about manage that - cannot guarantee that we would have 100 logs to suit but would hope to be not too far short- we are about an hour and a half south of you by wagon.

I will get a price for you in the next couple of days and get back to you - if you are interested they will be available in the next few weeks - we are part way through felling.

If you want to come and take a look give me a bell on 01988 700532 after 6pm

Are you planning to mill them?

Cheers

Brian

  6.
See you are looking for larch logs in SW Scotland and may be able to assist you - we have a small larch clearfell which we are progressing - decent sized logs available if you are interested

  7.
Only received message with your phone no - I am currently offshore and will not return to the Uk for a couple of weeks yet - are you in Ireland?

  8.

An interesting machine - where abouts is it and can you provide a general description age/ hours condition etc

Cheers

If you look on our website you will see that we can supply any amount or type of firewood you want - if you have an enclosed stove then species is irrelevant.

Our base price for seasoned hardwood is £75/cube and can deliver up to 5 cube in tipper trailer. We go to Newton stewart at that price with not less than 2 cubic metres.

Girvan is 30 miles from Newton Stewart so would need £90 delivery (and possibly a little more if you are on the north side of Girvan) - only economical for you with 3cubes or more I would have thought.

If you have a decent vehicle and trailer you could maybe collect? Might be a better option for you.

Cheers

  10. Cheers for that

I have an offer at £1.50 for pulp and £4.50 for fencing (per tonne, outturn basis)

looks a little light to me

  11. Hi

hoping to pick your brains a bit more if that is Ok?

Pulpwood - min 8cm max 45 cm - what are normal lengths to cut it 2.7? - mill price delivered in?

Fencing - 8-16cm - again what is standard length and do you know a mill price?

    Cheers

    mac

  12. Aplogies

only just read this message this evening - we can supply both hardwood and softwoods, we have small diameter birch and willow as well as large quantities of lodgepole - all are however on difficult ground and our harvesting at the moment is small scale.

Our preferred method would be to sell as 2.2m cordwood lengths at roadside for you to collect and haul to lochmaben. We can arrange haulage but quite honestly it would be on a cost plus 10% basis.

I would need to make a couple of calls before going firm on price but it would be around 35 / tonne at roadside - there is a weighbridge convenient to the loading site.

    again apologies for tardy response

    Cheers

    mac

    Any interest?

  13. Sorry - just spotted your message re woodburner for mobile home. Could you pm me a couple of photos and a price for her indoors?

Could well be of interest, pickup in or around largs no worries and cash on collection

    Cheers

    Brian
