  1. i guess that's the best way of looking at it Steve, cheers
  2. oh yeah contracting is my main aim for now, however i was thinking long term when im ready to start a buisness later oh and another side question, whats the standard rate for contract climber, providing i prove myself reliable obviously?
  3. Right im 20 and starting to think bout the future and trying to come up with a rough plan for the next few years. Have been with a company for about a year and am thinking about becoming a contract climber to work with different people, see both big and small scale companies ect.... and then think about trying to setup a buisness in a few years. But ive been wandering what are the advantages/ disadvantages of being in a company partnership compared to a sole trader, because seems sensible to be in a partnership (except when it all goes pete tong) to me but im new to this so any advice of any of you lot who have done it would be much appriciated hope works picking up for people if its been slow!
  4. you could try just a few sentences per job of what you gained from it and are bringing with you. stuff like what youve learned from from certain jobs - how to work as a team member, or how to get on with other workers and customers, and that you enjoyed it or stuff like that.
  5. love this pic, you can just see me sat at the end, was a nice job though..... mainly because i wasnt the one in the trees haha
  6. Actually funny you should say that because i got the idea from the tree motion harness my friend has, and i agree they are amazing harnesses anyway..... pictures, ignore the fact im suspended from my finger board and not a tree
  7. I have a Skylotec kolibri harness for tis set up - wack a bit lenght of 8mm prussik rope between your 2 side D's through your sliding D or maillon. It incorporates the belt more so it means your back and stomach muscles are better supported when your sat hanging on the end of your line. Also gives you better side support when you lean right out using a sliding D. It looks tidy and doesnt get in the way as far as ive found so far. (if any one is confussed by this im sorry tries to make the explanation as simple as possible)
