  1. Hi all hope everyones keeping busy !! Im after some advice im after buying a new saw ive just bought a husqvarna 560xp but ive got a huge beech tree to take down and was looking at getting a 3120xp with a 42 inch bar I know it wont get much use but is it wise buying one of these or does anyone recommend anything else ? What does everyone out there use for their biggest saw ?? Thanks in advance !!
  2. Try santander its free buisness banking but a bit of a pain is you can only pay in at a cash machine using their envelopes which you have to queue for and then they only give you a couple ! A friend of mine is with lloyds and he was going to change over until the manager said he'd waive the charges mind due he banks about 250k a year !

  5. Just found out what carcinogenic means ( causes cancer ) can anyone tell me of any that when cut can be carsinogenic please ? Ive heard that laburnham is and also fine sawdust from pine trees ! Is this true ??

  8. yep come off m60 onto a34 do a right onto gatley road (a560) go under railway bridge take 2nd road on left (church road ) follow to end do a left now your on styal road stay on that for about a mile then 100yds before lights on left is brown lane, hope that helps !!

  18. thats a good price i paid 750 for a 10ft one in good condition and 850 for a 20ft one in reasonable condition both watertight but get loads of condensation !!
  19. hi that seems way too cheap i do similar work to that and with me and a lad ,transit van all tools i try and earn a minimum of 25quid per hour .If you still want to do these jobs id certainly speed up your hayters its easy to do i'll tell you how if you want i run mine more than twice as fast as factory setting then look at other ways you can save time like if the job is weekly then it wont need strimming every visit , spray the large areas of soil in the beds once every 6-7 weeks and then prong them every second week, dont do any hedgecutting on the week that you strim it etc. I know its not always possible to do all these especially when old people are concerned as some of them set there clocks so they can watch what the gardener is doing !! Or just put the price up and if they dont like it they'll get someone else who charges thesame as your new price or somebody who doesnt do the job right but is cheap, hope some of this will help you

  24. i was talking to a customer who works with mortgages and has done for years and he says self certs will possibly be back by the end of the year ! i have 2 self certs (all be it i got them when times where good !) one is with the coventry the other one is mortgage express maybe give them a call at the back end of the year if you've not had any look !
  25. hi all i was wondering what you think would be a fair price to charge for doing some motorway clearance work its going to be for 3 months and the price is per week for 1 climber ,1 groundsman ,tracked chipper, saws, fuel etc.anybody whos self employed and worked on motorways your advice is well needed !
