  1. Would do, but he ran away to NZ not long after finishing that lovely little job at Wendover:laugh1:
  2. Hi Buzz, yep thats the beastie. Was at the Wendover site a couple of times, not sure if we meet. You probably meet Neil who was there most of the time.
  3. Works mog, I get to drive.
  4. At that age, nothing it's tax exempt:001_cool: anything upto an early 73 "L" suffix (SEE 73L) is tax free. It was meant to have been a rolling 25 years old but the good old government stopped that
  5. Yeah, just her pride was hurt. If you looked at the car from the nearside rear you wouldn't even know it was damaged. Worse bit was she'd been past the spot once, realised she didn't have her stuff for work, came home then back out. Only reason she crashed was she was blinded by an oncoming artic as it rounded the corner and like most of us would do, hit the brakes. She said it slide all over the road then hit the hedge, and partway through found a TREE STUMP:sneaky2: which actually lifted the car onto it's side nearly. By the time I arrived some nice people had stopped to see if she was ok, and she'd worned me how icy it was and so I was going slow and still slide about 30ft:scared1:
  6. OK found a couple of very bad pictures of the Beast, my 130. They were taken at 6:00ish on a very very -4 day after my girlfriend had thrown her car through the hedge ( as can be seen by the hole). Oh and on my phone. Did I say I couldn't feel my fingers. Big hole for the car.
  7. I wish I had some pic's of some of the 1's i've owned. I've had 4 up till now, Series 3 SWB Hardtop, my first vehicle, that was fun 110 V8 Station Wagon, A reg so pre defender, God it was fast and fun found out in the end it had an ex police V8 fitted. Out paced a Jaguar XJR on the M4:scared1:. 130 2.5TDi Crewcab Quadtech Box, high roof box, was going to put a tipper on but never got the time:thumbdown:, was great for work with the winch, would also hold a fair bit of chip. But it was hot, getting in and shovelling it out. LAST Discovery 2.5TDi, Had had the rear blanked for carrying film equipment so was nice and secure for carrying saws. Don't have any now:sad:. Maybe 1 day soon.....................
  8. She's a 66, Seat was a proper racing seat with a 6 point harness. It got nicked out of it a month later:thumbdown: Your picture doesn't work, but I found it via various means. Didn't know you wen by the name XXX to:001_tongue:
  9. Best time with standard set up was 16.5 Not bad for a 5.3litre and a 2 speed auto. She's got a 7.6l lump in her now, just need to finish fitting it before running the engine then 10 ton of bodywork.
  10. Andy, Well done on the Pontiac bit, wrong strip though. It's Shaky:001_tt2: Never raced her at the Pod:thumbdown: to expensive and to far at the time from Somerset:scared1:
  11. Ah, but if you get a nice older car, like said 'Stang, you don't have to pay road tax:001_tt2: saves a bit. Here's my little car.
  12. Signed too, it's getting hard to find places to race or watch racing unless you circuit race. My folks can remember watching racing at St Austell speedway years ago before they knocked it down and built the cornish market there.
  13. Drew

    APF no MUD

and the last few, hope you enjoy.
