  1. Whilst your at it tell the punters to keep hold of the bags to recycle back to you (makes them feel good) builds customer loyalty, repeat sales. Some of my recycled bags i reckon have been round the block 8 times at least. They also love it if you can wax on about where the logs came from.
  2. Whilst your at it get a piece of stiff plastic that you roll up and put inside the bag then spred it out so that the bag is now standing like a tube and the logs drop easily into the bag with out snagging this has saved me loads of frustrating effort, got mine from Lakeland plastics. Clive
  3. [quote But as far as this thread is concerned..... the best way (IMO) to avoid conflict is to ensure someone will be at the property when the work is carried out.....And you get cups of fresh tea. No Tea offered - I put an extra £10 on bill Tea in dirty cups - extra £15 My friend a corgi plumber charges double the above rates. I take a trangia stove and have a kettle on the boil if no owner about. I have also have a compact stove that runs on wood chips and boils a kettle ok
  4. The words that get my blood pressure going up is the client say "Whilst your here would you mind doing this other tree...... etc etc The dreaded add ons I just say it will go on the bill price. (Big job on Rock walk Torquay seafront spotted this weekend,Rd closed for 6 weeks)
  5. Yep i will get one as well, but how long before Ken Livingstone bans log burning. I have a loyal customer base who have converted to log burners. Surrey rebels.
