  1. Hi Alex would be £172 + vat, cheers, Rob

  2. Hi Andrew, You can go up to a 30" bar with the Alaskan 24" mill. Your 044 will take a 25" bar max and would be the better saw of the two you have but a larger saw like a 660 or 880 would be even better. Have a look at alaskan mill I home of the portable chainsaw mill for more info, cheers, Rob

  3. Ho Ho will do Mark - cheers, Rob

  4. I can't seem to get into the chat room - says it's full! Phil you want to go for that timber he's got 110%! Lovely oak - you'll come across loads of quirky stuff as you go but this sort of oak bloody hard to come by. Even if you plank it and store it - come back to it later.... Go for it mate. How much does he want for it?

  5. I supposes all wood is worth milling if you have a use for it - I suppose it's like her saying 'is it any good for firewood'. The answer would be yes you can burn it but it's not going to be as good as other types of wood!

  6. I'm gonna crash Phil. But let me know how you get on with this timber.

  7. I've got a 30" sachs dolmar solid nose bar. It's second hand. You can have for £25-00 + vat. Cheers, Rob

  8. It is indeed! I really only keep in touch with a couple of people someone called Paul Hilder and another called Dan Minns.... no one on the course but then I prob wasn't there enough to get to know people that well! Still the next uni I went to got a 2:1 in occupational therapy although only practiced for 18 months....

  9. Mike a cannon 30" bar for your saw would be £160+vat... like I said unfortunately not cheap.

  10. No prob if you go here alaskan mill I home of the portable chainsaw mill and select the first product a wood engraving which says Pat!

  11. No prob Lee but bear in mind I have never used a 84" bar yet only the 72" with the 880 so I can't say how well it will drive the chain.

  12. No prob Pat let me know if you need any more info

  15. No worrys sean I'll get this sent out to you, cheers, Rob Oh I need a phone number please as well

  16. one granberg and one stihl for each bar, no worrys let me know when you're ready

  17. Thanks for the heads up Mark. If it's very straight, no decay, no metal etc then I may be able to give you some money for it but it wouldn't be much i.e. between £100 and £200. If it's more an average sort of tree I can collect for free as long as it's by roadside but wouldn't be able to pay for it.... but if you want send some pics to [email protected] cheers, Rob

  18. Where abouts is it and can you get a 12 tonne grab lorry to it? Also when are you thinking of taking it down? Spoke to Tracy and Ian and will be looking at their oaks when I get back off holiday. Thanks for the referral, Rob
