  1. Try asking on the poultry keeper forum I use wood chip for my chickens and for around the kids park and stuff I use everything I get and I take a few loads from a mate when he is working in the area there are quiet a few on there with smallholdings/farms etc they may be local to your area and may find yourself some good tip sites instead of paying stupid fees

  2. I used to get newsletters. Yes it is illegal. And yes they fine people.
  3. I was also a member of 'The Guild of Master Craftsmen'. In my opinion they just want you to pay for the use of their logo. Give them three refrences who got phone calls asking if I was any good....but never checked. Never felt that I got any more phone calls or work from it.....so never carried on paying to be a member.
  4. I'd agree. Nothing wrong in having a free listing tho......as long as you don't mind the calls that you WILL get selling insurance advertising etc.

DITTO would be good to have a reliable saw that doesn't have a bad time of the month.
  6. Unfortunately Steve, once a tree has been topped / pollarded it is usually difficult in getting it back to anything like it's former glory. Sometimes you can thin out the heavier branches to leave some form of crown that can cope with wind bearing effects (the topping/pollard points will be weak). Admire the fact that you are spending the time trying to sort it tho. POSTED BEFORE YOUR SECOND LOT OF PHOTO'S
  7. Mark, I bought a site which cost me £380 and it was cr*p. Had to trawl through about six pages to find my site. Decided to do my own website Welcome Page Once you have a website get a free listing on yell.com and any other sites you can. The downside is that you might also pick up more phone calls from people trying to sell you insurance, windows etc. GOOGLE - Tree Surgery CT10 I'll be at the top of the page. More importantly above BILL .....lol Then click on my name ACORN TREE SURGERY you will see my site.
  8. Lovely dog.....don't fancy the food bill tho.....lol
  9. Cheers fellas. The reason I was intrested in the answer is that I have very little knowledge of working with MEWPs. However I see others using them knowing they have NO climbing tickets and think, that can't be right.....but was not sure.
  10. I might not want to talk to the AA direct, although I appreciate AA teccies input to my thread. If this is in the wrong place, then I'm sure it will be moved.
  11. I'm not doom and gloom about the industry or the AA. Yes things are quiet at the minute, but you just need to deal with it. I would think that most councils and highways agencies have heard of the AA as a recognised body, therefore if you are a member it may help you secure work/contracts. I find that other commercial people don't care if you are a member of a recognised body. In 'MY' experience people are more interested in the bottom line than your qualifications these days.
