  24. Bit too much excitement for an old chap @peds. A few seconds of WTF and panic whilst foot in pool of blood then sensible head on. Temporary compression on bleed(neckerchief) then hobble over to FABox. Pressure bandage on bleed point, followed by above and below knee tourniquet . Change pressure bandage, now blood loss down to a trickle. Only about 4 minutes from start to finish and time to call the cavalry and my spaniel minder. Great dried out puddles of the stuff when I got home this morning, apparently 300 ml of the red stuff goes a long way! Still, all cleaned up now spaniels in good hands. Worse things happen at sea 🙂
  25. Good Morning. Fresh back from A&E after a varicose vein rupture last night. Enjoying a good cup of tea....or two before I start the clean up. By heck it didn't half chuck out the red stuff before I stopped the bleed.
