i just found this site, UK made Indian Clubs | BODY & MIND damn that's expensive for a pair.
Same sizes I used but different site a few years back.
-
let me rummage through my stock first as i do have some hefty lumps kicking about. if i can't find any matching bits then you can cut your own timber.
anyone know what sort of price these things go for?
i can only find american websites that sell them.
I do

Ladies club, 440mm x 83mm 2lbs (0.9kg)
Standard club 495mm x 83mm 2.2lbs (1kg)
Large club 520mm x 110mm 3.5lbs (1.5kg)
Heavy are same size but with added weight 7lbs (3kg), then you have your bespoke.
-
That will be classed as a ladies one then , looking good. Just similar to making skittles I guess.
-
They are made in 1kg, 1.5kg and 3kg sets usually with lead weights in the bottom, then you can get custom ones made which are heavier and a lot wider. I have made a set before , shame the pictures are on my old hard drive which I can't recover.

Really like the yellow one Ian.
Thanks, that's the roller ball I do, I can also do a fountain pen. The Components on that one are 24ct gold plated. The others are gunmetal and rhodium.

Had a bit of time yesterday and today and was just playing around with some off cuts from an oak done couple of years ago.
Just thinking along my wine rack project, not an original idea by any means but good to play around with my draper saw bench, metabo planer, sanders and jigsaws!
Pleased with the result, pain in the ass getting the angles right without the right equipment.
Just holes to drill next for the bottle necks and osmo finish.
Nice, how do you find the metabo planer?

Halfords, there big socket sets and spanners are half price.

Isn't that a space next to the car by the fence?

£25! I might join him:biggrin:.
Thanks
TBH if they want an hourly rate then you know they will be clock watching and a pain, or the job to small that it needs a rate like that. Or just price the job.
-
If they want an hourly rate £25, otherwise price per job.

Nice. Do that for two weeks of every year truing to keep up with our windows. Labour of love. Ish.
I would say the window that's out is about 6ft in height and bloody heavy lol.

At the moment I'm doing some work on a grade 2 listed building, sash windows. Renewing cord, glass, weights, pulleys etc

I can't see what all the fuss is about........No one has died from yew or laburnum wood, animals eating leaves / berries (seeds) yes but probably ate quite a bit as they do.
Be careful with dust when sanding, but same as other timbers.
If it was really that bad it wouldn't be allowed to be sold as goblets, chopping boards, utensils .
A question.....what happens if you apply food safe oil to it.

The question you should be asking yourself is why not.
