  1. that is true hugo when i look at my hiax the soles are worn away especially on heels dragging crap to the chipper more than any other damage to the rest of boot from climbing but its the old time is money aspect i can just imagine my boss's reply when i say hang on just got to change my boots before helping clearing up the mess i just made ...... its bad enough when i have to walk back to the van to put my hi vis on ( wont wear it when climbing too much of a hazard ) ./.....
  2. last tree i did in west london before moving up to essex bear in mind i think i had only passed my climbing course approx 2/3 months previous

  9. same here steve not a nasty one touch wood just those little taps as you forget its a new sharp blade as you cut through that last stub and it cuts all the way through and continues onto your skin of your other hand thats supporting you lol or is it just me ????? other one i seem to doing a lot lately especially in tight trees ( conifers/very epicormicmicy limes ) burning myself on the 020 exhaust as i pull the saw up to use it or to move it about quite a collection of blisters on my arm now lol or after todays climb of 4 willows in the insane winds on the essex coast to make safe ( reduce by 50%/ pollard) sea sickness

  11. currently using hiax pros but even though boss paid for them they wont be renewed will go back to my Jallette/jalforests as for the price of hiax and the lever of wear is unbeliavable just a year old and the soles are flapping the side rubbers are split the toungue has worn through on the laces the heels have worn down nice boot dont get me wrong but not worth it ...
