This is the host.......a red oak. This limb failed about a year ago. Targets none as in a very secluded spot in the park. The limb above this one has a big split as well. As the tree is not of any significance with regards targets Royal Parks will not be concerning themselves with regards decay assessment.. There are some small new fruiting bodies on another buttress crease now.

I have a row of red oaks with the same no real targets so they will stay for now may fell when the buttress gets real soft:001_smile:
