Thanks, the site kicks out part number 1129 182 1501, but I've come across other references to part number 1129 182 1500 (short linkage) for the ms 200T. Both parts are totally different, I'd like to get this right as postage to the deeper depths of france is a pain and I need asap also I don't fancy lugging up a tree any of the other saws I have.

sussed it, it's the short link 11291821500 that attaches to the carb. Now to find one without silly postage prices, or a 2 week wait time from the local French stihl agent !!

thanks for the pointers.

I don't know what your capabilities are, but can you fabricate one from a piece of wire? I have made many linkages with "coat hanger wire"

.

Even if you don't have a pattern to go by, experiment from a photo on Google.

Might get you buy until you receive a new one?

In the process of adapting one at the mo, a bit of trial and error. Managed to get one from L&S £1.61 + vat, a mates picking it up and posting it over for a quid... result.

Thanks folks.
