The great thing about sites like this is we dont need a head to head to know which one is best. We have experienced guys like Borders training and others, who have used both machines, giving their honest opinion. What could be better than that.:thumbup1:

I have spent the last 2 days with my JB M500 flat out on willow, syc and conifer; was putting stuff well over specified max diameter i.e. 7" stuff into it and whilst I was was doing the "stress-control", the chipper was just blasting the chip. On 2-4" stuff it is honestly unbelievable and this isn't with sharp blades or exact anvil gap. Keep it fed correctly and it seriously pumps the chip; I reckon it was producing well over 1m3 every 5 minutes... I'm soooo tempted to up the horsepower from 24 to about 30 to see how it goes then!
