Diseased Sycamore?

This is something I have been thinking of while reading the comments. I would not want to encourage them to keep the tree but spend a decent amount of money reducing it only to find out in a couple of years they have to spend another chunk of money because the disease had effected the tree more than first thought.

So for this and for them to have the piece of mind of not having to worry about it again, I am leaning towards removal and encouraging planting I'm it's place But that being said, I will give them the info you good people have shared and let them make a decision.

At the end of the day you're there to provide options, not decisions. Give them all the information , the pros and cons of each option, to reach a decision. They may ask what you would do or what you recommend, but ultimately they hold the purse strings. :thumbup1:
