Any one know anything about setting up the blades on this machine?

Belongs to a friend of mine but has stopped pulling the timber in (no feed rollers its that old), in fact it is more likely to chuck it back at you!,

Any help would be appreciated

Are they sharp?

He reckons so, he has also turned the anvil to a new edge, the timber is left with a "long tongue" on it as if the blade isnt close enough, I think he has messed around with it too much and its now way off the original settings!!

That sounds like the blade gap is too big

Hi Drythropple

 

Give the office a call and speak to Kevin on the service deck. Does sound like the gap is too large. How good is the anvil. Have the blades been sharpened to much?
