So, I'm just getting into the climbing world and need a climbing saw, a friend gave me this old Oleo Mac 925 which he said has been sat in his shed for 5 years.

I start to have a look and bear in mind I haven't had too much experience with fixing saws but a willingness to learn, I get stuck at the first hurdle, the pullcord.

I've made sure the tension is all good on the cord and it pulls back satisfyingly but as soon as I connect and pull it seems to get stuck on the flywheel and doesn't engage, then the cord becomes slack.

I will give it all a clean but I have attached pictures and would appreciate any help, if you need pictures of anything else just say.

Thanks!
