Hello all can someone on hear please please please help!!!!!!

My little 150 is running real bad, starts ok but takes a while to warm up and Rev up correctly then once warm it bogs down as soon as you go to cut, sounds like it's over fueling, have tried all the normal things retuning etc and have even put a brand new carb on it, but no different😖 The saw is only about 18 months old and has only done light work so can't imagine it's bore/piston rings wear, or crank case leak. Any help would be fantastic.

Cheers.

Had exactly the same problem with mine...only brought it last June starting playing up like your..took it straight back to dealer as under warranty...and guess what.... The only thing the warranty does not cover is over oiling in fuel mixture...and apparently that's what they came up with.

First time in 30 years of using chainsaw a iam putting to much oil in the fuel mix..bull s--t.....end up paying to get it back and a week later same problem...took it back and same as before..lots of ranting but got it done...advised to change to stihl super hp oil mix...wouldn't say it's running perfect but haven't had to take back yet...6 weeks. Hope that helps if you haven't already try'd it.

Use nothing but stihl equipment and the 150 is the only brand new saw I have ever brought...want buy new again.

Not sure putting too much oil in the fuel would cause such an issue unless you had given it a double wallop and it was running 25:1 or more.

If a new carb hasn't worked then I would pull the muffler off and see what the piston is like. It is pretty easy on these saws, no gasket and a flange around the exhausts entry so it meshes with the cylinder easily.

Look to see if there is carbon blocking the exhaust or the piston is scored.

You could run it for a short period without the muffler and see what it is like, just for a small cut but not too long.

If it isn't the carb or piston, it may well be the coil - worth looking at the flywheel key also, I did hear that there was an issue with the tightness of the central nut from the factory and they were shearing their keys!
