My extending arm is stuck in the extended position, moves back 6 inches but nothing more. I've tried switching hoses around on the block to discount the block and no luck there. It wasn't under load when fault happened, ram isn't bent and neither is arm. It wont push back in either.

It's under warranty but want to see if there is an easy fix. Has anyone got any suggestions ?

Have you tried taking the hoses off the ram end and seeing if the oil is gushing out when you pull the lever? If the oil is gushing out when you press the lever the problem is probably your internal gland on the cylinder are broken up.

Definitely sounds like the seals in the ram, or maybe the piston cracked, letting the oil past. You are getting oil flow, rod not bent, can't be much else. Unless the return is somehow obstructed?

It's possible that somethings come loose inside. Have you tried sticking it straight up and shaking it gently to get it down. Just please don't flip the trailer. ;)
