I wondered why a wash bag was needed to wash rope. In times like these I'd be more than happy to use a pillow case :001_tongue:

 

I'm glad I didn't know this during the 2-week 'honeymoon' after buying my kit, otherwise the washing machine would see my rope after every climb!

i used an industral pressure washer for my ropes after last weekend they were really matted,even my brand new 19mm bullrope,after power washing with detergent if you got an understanding missus ask her nicely to give them a good scrub with warm water and hang them up on the line while ur in work..:thumbup:

Use soap flakes for delicate wash. Get a net bag with ties and put the rope in it, then put rope in washer ona delicate wash, it will come out like new.

 

Ditto the above - and it does make it look like a brand new rope!
