The 200 group of saws are rigid mounted carb to cylinder rather than a boot and the throttle/ trigger linkage has the tendency to "not" keep a even pressure on the end of the throttle rod after a while . Pulling up can slacken the pressure from the trigger tab in the back handle as it flexes on the AV mounts.

You may even find the carb isn't getting full throttle when you depress the trigger under some other conditions. I check them out on the bench without the saw running to see if the throttle is hitting max when you pull the trigger.Iv re bent the rod on a few saws (254, 262 ) to take up some of the wear. The tab on the trigger in the handle gives a element of shock and distance absorbing as the saw flexes. Worth a look maybe.

Ps..Meant to say….your saw isn't exactly as the 242,254,262 linkage wise but the printable of the throttle reducing its pressure is the same.
