Any milage in offering mobile log splitting service?

Cheers guys! I was thinking of aiming at the "we will keep the wood" brigade who after having a go with a blunt axe could give me a call! Lol! I'm based in Cornwall.

If the splitter is yours and it would otherwise sit in the garage, of course there is mileage in it. Money in the bank you wouldn't have otherwise. Who cares if other people are doing it, it's like doing firewood, just go for it and see what happens!

That's what I was thinking mate mate! I got a fair bit to split myself just trying to justify another tool!!

£40 for two people & fuel?

 

Not sure I would want to charge so little.

 

I know but with a saw and splitter we do about 1 cu metre an hour. How much can u charge when people around are delivering a cu metre for £60. Remember it's their wood as well. If it was cheap we would have been run off our feet but more often than not people expect to pay minimum wage unless your a brain surgeon. Then they might pay £10 an hour Middle england tight as a ducks chuffer
