I find I cant say "out of eu" one minute and be happy to buy imported anything the next.

I disagree TCD, my objection to the EU is not the ability to trade freely but the political side of "ever closer union" that goes with it and the loss of national sovereignty. Free trade is what generates wealth for all, I buy British (and local) where I can but the days of protectionism are long gone.

I do agree with County's point re FC (and associated bodies) planting garbage, a comparison between UK and continental Europe woodland is absolutely staggering. From our unthinned choked softwood mess to planting worthless rubbish the lack of vision combined with incompetence simply beggars belief. No wonder the FC are desperately scrabbling around to reinvent themselves to try and keep themselves relevant, it's been proven over decades they are simply incapable of their fulfilling their remit.. Managing the nation's woodland.

You have clarified my muddled thinking there thanks:thumbup: totally trade / political union. Nonetheless the lack of support for British Made is lamentable.

it's not just what they are not planting they are refusing to cut what is already there, that job at blackford there could have been 2-300+ tons of hardwood but they left it standing and most of the softwood was sitting roadside with no market they might have moved the pulp and the job a bit further at the old site for little chef also had hardwood at the back and they have left that standing too.
