I bought a pair of oregan type A trousers for about £70 and for cutting firewood at home can't complain.

I had to wear chaps on a course and found its more a case of one size fits no one! The tops just gathered up round the front and were really bloody annoying. Wouldn't reccommend them at all

Thanks for all the friendly and helpful advice, really is helpful, was almost expecting a flaming for not wearing protective trousers, will have a look at what's available
