have you considered extracting the stumps and brash and then getting in an air burner. Could all be burnt with very little mess or inconvenience. I think Paul Vidgen at Ascot tree services have one (but am not sure)

i'll back up Ed and Buzz, having worked with mulchers, self powered and 360 based, they go a wee bit down but they pretty much plane everything.

 

once you have mulched the brash the resulting mulch will become ground level. if the stumps need to come right out you need to dig em out and mulch them on the surface.
