The map does not show outbreaks in new planting just in the wider environment. This is because they assume that they have dealt with all the infected stock.

I went to a woodland in Kent last Friday where all the trees were affected.

Out of interest, which area of Kent was this? Seems to be getting more and more common near me (Ashford).

Bad one I saw last week (semi mature) was in Sheldwich Alan, hard by the 251.

I'll look out for that one I'm just round the corner. Loads of young ash in perry wood not pulling through too.

Is it gradually spreading then? Got a beauty in my garden that I've been nurturing for 14 years or so since I found it as a sapling in the hedge. Would hate it to have to go. I guess it's inevitable.

I notice RPA do not pay for ash to be planted in the new woodland creation scheme either.
