I guess I'll use this as my introduction as well. :blushing:

I'm making the first steps into aboriculture at 34 in the Midlands. Something I've wanted to do for a long time (it wasn't until my missus of 13 years said "you've wanted to since I've known you." that it finally sunk in.).

So I've been in the shadows on here for a few weeks.

I've enrolled to do my CS30/31 at the end of Oct.

I've got a Fischer Price my first Chainsaw on it's way... randomly from Shavey, after speaking with him on the blower.

The main point of the post however is, wanting to know more than just how to hack the woody buggers down, I'm undertaking the [title] course with Myerscough, and just wondered if anyone else on here was in the same academic year... or anyone else that may have already completed it and how they've progressed...

Apparently while sampling soil, I may as well dig over the veg patch at the weekend... :sneaky2:

Hi mate, I'm doing the ABC Level 2 course through correspondence at the moment. It's a good course which goes into Soil, Physiology, Planting, Tree Surgery, Law and Ecology.

In my opinion it's very in depth for a level 2 but along with your tickets I think it's a great start.

Cheers,

Dan

I've just signed up for the ABC online course. I'd have loved to have been able to wake a year or two out and go to college full time. I'd have gone for the level 3 I think.

Looking forward to getting signed up.

Hey Kev, i've signed up to do this at myerscough too. I started a level 2 years ago but i did not have the time to complete it last time round even though i completed 3/4 of it. The myerscough course looks much more in depth than the previous one i signed up too and i fully intend to complete the course this time. Pm me if you want my details for finding me on bloom. Cheers and good luck :)
