basically it looked exactly the same as a horse chestnut but the fruit was different, it was similar but was brown, with almost no spines, softer than a usual conker, and the kernel inside was white and brown as opposed to the usual all brown conker. i have a feeling it is just a different variety of horse chestnut, but other than that i havent a clue, all the conkers on the tree were the same too.

i couldnt get any im afraid :\ bad form i know, i just hope my explanation is up to scratch, to reiterate it was different from a normal conker because.

It was brown all over.

It was more elongated than a normal conker which is usually spherical.

had almost no spines and the ones it did have were really just lumps.

the casing of the conker was a lot softer and more pliable than a normal conker.

and the kernel inside was brown and bright white, with clean lines, not mottled at all.

couldnt tell :P it had ivy all over the crown and trunk, but the leaves and branches looked in good health not much deadwood, no leaf miner either which is unusual, ive looked at more pictures and its definately an ohio buckeye the conker looks identical.
