The Chestnut Tree, West Wratting, Cambs.

Got/had a young horse chestnut outside too.

Only went there once, done a job nearby, smashed out a widow re-pollard in the rain by lunch, we only went in for a half and to warm up :confused1:

I have a vague memory of snakebites, a round of sambucas, playing pool doubles with the brunette barmaid being the 4th player, then being sent on an emergency in Letchworth, Passing my mate in royston dressed up on his heavy horses for a funeral or wedding giving me a scornful look for beeping and waving from the lorrys cab filled with smoke from a workmates "roll ups". Spiking up an ash in the dark-6pm? heavy rain, to remove a broken top hanging over a 600year old house (back another day to fell, honest)

Ahh those were the days :blushing:

^^ note the blushing smiley :sneaky2::blushing::lol:
