he has got back and said - hard to tell from the pic exactly -but they are at least medieval and possibly roman

Well if I was still living in north Essex I could have popped round to see Carenza Lewis and asked her, but that would have meant breaking the restraining order:001_smile:

Some are definitely tiles having two straight sides and some have curves. There are a lot of land drains pieces so I had to grade them out.

Nice.....I always that Dr Alice Roberts wasn't scraping the bottom of the barrel miself!

 

To the subject in hand, (ahem), roof tiles, possibly Roman, possibly Cotswold in origin? Where are you too?
