How much is it worth?

I have just been offered approx 1000 felled trees. Scots Pine I think. Over grown unwanted Xmas trees that were left to their own devices. They have been felled, de-limbed and cut into varying lengths. 16-19ft and are from 9 inch to 2ft in diameter at the base. They are stacked and ready for collection, not road side, but in a field. We have the tackle to shift them..What should I pay for such a pile?

As much as you can afford and as little as you can get away with. It will also depend if this is a one off or if you are hoping to get more from the same supplier

If you know how to measure a timber stack, you could assess the volume and work out a per m3 price.

So you should be able to work something out - bearing in mind you have the transportation costs etc.

I have a friend who has just sold similar timber, similar scenario. I think he got £19 per ton and the buyer collected it.
