Hi guys,

So last week I picked up my new chipper from AMP in Portslade, East Sussex.

What can I say, after using every chipper from Jenson to timberwolf and green mech ....... What an awesome piece of kit.

Spec for my model is

Sub 750kg, turn table, no stress with three different settings,

It's a twin hydrolic roller and marketed as a 6inch chipper but the opening is 8.5in inchs and the roller is massive. Took down a huge ivy clad macrocarpa today, never blocked once.

Any one else use one? I know there new but it's worth getting a trial for anyone needing a new chipper.

Also thanks to the guys at AMP for supplying and offering great after market service. Can't fault them.

Interesting to hear other arb guys views if they have used on.

All the best

Did you get my message on the rb44, going to get one soon. Realy keen to get one. Same as you, can't afford or justify a mog at the moment. How you getting on with it?

Followed your thread on it for a while. What's the payload like.

Rb44 is fantastic in my business model, no didn't get your message, payload is what makes it worth running that's for sure, couldn't get done what we do without it, just need a bigger chipper than the quadchip to follow it around and eat more faster as that's now the choke point on lots of job's.

I know exactly what you mean, I'm the same with my transit, that's why I'm after a rb44. Where did you go for yours, withams? Or jacksons. Is 7-8grand a reasonable amount or try and drive them down.

Never dealt with either and not sure what they are worth trade price if you know what I mean.

Best

Three people is fine as long as your friends and no 1 has had a curry the.night before, it's rare I do as most.times have 2 vehicles going either with trailers or traffic lights needed at same time.

Had 2 vosa checks and was fine because of the work we are doing on roadside trees for highways agency. Really not worth bringing it up too much on here as always ends up in a sh!t storm!
