Just made up the next home brew for this years big family camping session down at the farm. Woodfored's "Norfolk nog" this time, along with the elderflower champagne and plumb and blackberry wine...

Anyone else into a bit of home brewing?

Been doing home brew for the last 5 years or so, try and keep around the 50 dozen pint mark so it has time to mature.

Bloody hell thats serious, i tend to make 4/5 brews a year. Not including the odd wine, port etc, fancy a bash at cider this year, found an old cider press on fleabay!

I have 6 one the go at all times, 3 x ale and 3 x lager for the Mrs. One drinking and 2 maturing, 40 pints in each and have one pint each a night = plenty of time to mature

Organised!

How London do you leave them to mature?

I hate maths

Just poured my first pint of Nelson's Revenge with extra Fuggles, very nice indeed! Wasn't keen on the nog though, and it wouldn't drop below 1016 or so, so only came out about 3.8/4%

Been at it a year, the starter kit was a gift for my birthday and I've since added to it too. If I'm organized with starting the next one I can supply myself a pint a night, which is nice ;) that reminds me, I need to start a St Peter's cream stout or a bulldog Easter brew asap. Have you tried either? I've still got 20 odd bottles of the bulldog chocolate stout to get through, I hope their Easter brew is better!
