Help Needed!!!

Hi Guys,

I have a client who's just had an Alder blow over and flatten his car. There was no root plate/roots at all. I immediately thought Meripilus giganteus. But couldn't find the fruiting body anywhere. My question is there anything else that can cause this?

Thank you.

TC

Pictures would certainly be good. I still don't understand why you need to be more accurate though. It was recently surveyed, nothing noted, it then falls and the insurance company get involved - correct? If my assumptions are correct I'd expect the insurance company covering the damage to take it up with the surveyor, if they wanted to.

Indeed. Why do you think a fungus was involved? Could just be poor root development. Let the insurance company deal with it.

:sneaky2:Could be many things; CO2 poisoning from leaky pipe, hydrology, bad vibes, big crown, big wind...

Does insurance pay more if a fungus is implicated?

Smells like honey dunnit? :sneaky2:
