Timberjack 810 1210 1410

JD 810 1270 1070

Valmet 901 820

Ponnse Beaver, Carribu Wisnet and S10

Ponsse was my favorite.

Ponsse introduced completely new harvester model Scorpion few times ago, it seems to become selling very good what local papers writing Ponsse company situation right now. :thumbup1:

What in You opinion makes Ponsse good machines.?

Big cabs fully programmable controls ie all buttons are customisable rather than just a few in the JD. Opti is much better than the Valmet/TJ equivalents computer wise. I really like that their harvesters are forwarder based so you sit with the engine and the crane unit is out in front of you so if it tips you wont go with it (hopefully). I like the H5 heads as they have auto chain tensioning i'm sure the new 745? JD heads do the ones i used didn't.

TJ H754 head has auto tensioning. It always bemuses me how easily the chain comes off cutting regen and rubbish in the rack; so I don't bother, I just go down with the chainsaw and it's done in 10 minutes the old fashioned way, takes less time than remounting the harvester chain and resharpening aswell.
