Tried this for the first time to section down the main stem on a beech dismantle a few days ago.

 

Used over negative rigging as no targets directly below, just needed to prevent the timber rolling down the hill into gate/fence. And could not fell.

 

Worked great, was quicker than NR and prevented wear on the gear. Also could take bigger sections

 

most of the footage was unusable, but heres a few clips

Nice man, I tried it for the first time too recently. It really does save time when obstacles arnt in the direct line of fire. How did your attach the rope to the base of the tree?
